Hunting Party Podcast Episode 206: Hunting Highmaul

This week Darkbrew, Solarflair, Delirium, and yours truly talk about our first experiences in Highmaul and provide some hunter-specific tips for the first few encounters.

We also talk a little bit about the current state of hunter spec balance and some of the nasty attitude being thrown at Survival and Beast Mastery hunters right now, fueled by this post I made a couple of days ago.

The show is broadcast live on Twitch TV every second Sunday at 10:00 am ET (14:00 GMT). In addition to the live show you can find it at:

The next episode is scheduled for Sunday, December 21. Thanks for listening.

  1. And thanks for making the podcast. I usually can’t listen live, but have downloaded and greatly enjoyed listening to them.

  2. Suggestion: Find a way to indicate who’s speaking. It’s especially helpful when discussing strategies and there’s only one of you running a different spec.

Other than that, good show guys.

    Hunt on!

  3. Beginning of the spec difference discussion is around 46:15 for those that wanted to skip to that part (as I did). 🙂

  4. One thing related to the spec differences discussion Bendak, and this is my opinion. I don’t mind playing MM with Lone Wolf, in fact I’m pretty good at it, but I honestly hate MM. I play it because of the damage output. I just find the MM spec itself is SOOOOO boring. While I have accepted the loss of my pet, I don’t like that I “have to”. Don’t even get me started about the fact that near 1/3 of our abilities and talents are utterly useless when using Lone Wolf. Also, with the nerf to Kill Shot (PvP reasons) also affecting BM and the fact that it seems like a solid buff to Kill Command would solve ALL of this, I am really at a loss coming up with an answer to, “just what the hell is Blizzard thinking?”.

Anyways, just my view point. I’m sure there are many others but that’s my 2 cents / pound of flesh.
