Hunter Transmog: Dark Iron Hunter

It’s been a while since I did a transmog post, but now that I’m a Dark Iron Dwarf I’ve been trying out some new stuff. I posted this one on Twitter and a bunch of folks asked for an item list, so here you go.

The key items are from Mythic Emerald Nightmare and Nighthold, which is easy to do in a small group right now (at 120, you don’t even need a tank or healer, just warm bodies). Don’t forget to grab some Legion bonus roll coins before you go in.

The others are from Mythic Blackrock Foundry (can be done solo), leatherworking, and one item from Tomb of Sargeras.

Hunter Transmog: Spec Ops

I liked this transmog as soon as I laid eyes on it. This one was submitted by Shadowwolf of Zul’jin. Here’s what he had to say:

Originally designed on a Male Worgen using the Replica Coif and Dark Iron Gun, was going for a minimalist black/dark look. Modified them in WoD to include the Cybergenetic Mechshades for the night-vision goggle look.

Head: Cybergenetic Mechshades
Shoulder: Upstanding Spaulders
Chest: Avenger’s Armor
Belt: Blackforge Girdle
Legs: Leggings of the Insatiable
Boots: Veteran’s Chain Sabatons
Gloves: Gloves of Taut Grip
Weapon: Dagryn’s Discarded Longbow (LFR)

If you’re not an engineer, Shadowwolf suggests this or this as a helm replacement. For a gun instead of a bow, try this, this, or this.

Hunter Transmog: Dread Hunter

Today, we have another reader-submitted hunter transmog, this one from Zägerin on Drakkari.  Here is what they had to say about the transmog they call “Dread Hunter.”

After spending too much in the Dread Wastes for no good reason, I wanted a Black/whitish set for my hunter. This is the end result, the shoulders being the more difficult part to match. I am not happy about them but it’s the best I could do.

Hunter Transmog: Black Scourgestalker

This is a recolor of the tier 8 hunter set. Out of the 4 colors available (red, blue, green, black) I definitely think this one takes the cake. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Blizzard did not add the black version of the helm to the game. I couldn’t find a good match in my transmog collection, so I defaulted to my trusty eye patch, which goes with everything!

This armor itself is acquired mostly in 10-player Ulduar (only 1 hard mode) and is soloable by any level 90 hunter. The only one that you may need some help on is with Thorim. You need to… get creative… in order to do this by yourself. You can bring a friend to help, or check out Darkbrew’s video on how to do it here. Thorim will be made “officially” soloable in patch 6.0, but that is still a while off. The other bosses you need are straight forward burns, except you should be cautious with Freya. If you kill her too fast, she won’t spawn her chest and you won’t get any loot. Some of Mimiron’s abilities in hard mode can still hurt you, so don’t faceroll it too much.
