Pet of the Week: Savage Warwolf

Just when I thought my stable was safe…

It looks like we finally have a successor to the Shattered Hand Warhound from Outland. The Savage Warwolf is a level 98 wolf pet found in Nagrand (Draenor). It runs around Telaar with the orcs that use these beasts for their mounts. I’ve never seen more than one or two up at a time, but they do respawn fairly quickly. So don’t be surprised if you go there and don’t see any immediately. The ones being ridden don’t count as beasts, you need the riderless ones.

Check out the video below to see this cool wolf in motion.

Update 8/20:
Here is a second video showing the recently added sounds.

As a standard disclaimer that applies to all beta content: This could change before release! However, since other saddled pets do exist, I hope this one is safe.

Many more cool pets are on the way for the Pet of the Week feature. Sometimes I wish this was a “Pet of the Day” but then I’d run out of content pretty fast, wouldn’t I?

    1. I agreed, also they should add another “version” without that backpack… as a combat pet of course, not mount

  1. The easy one is the spasitc one that runs circles by the purple sphere šŸ˜‰ He seemed to pop every 5 min or so. And they like to follow casters around..

  2. been looking for two days an still havent found one. Read this post like 6 times to make sure i was looking in the area it said.

    1. I’ll check it out when I have the chance. Haven’t been back since Monday’s build. It’s possible it was removed.

Update: Checked it out, found one within a minute. Still can be tamed. Are you sure you’re looking in the right place? Also, maybe I should have been more clear, but this is in Draenor in the new expansion. Not the old Nagrand.

  3. “pop” pulling head out of duffle bag. my mistake. have to wait for Draenor. Keep up the great work. Happy Hunting.
